THE BEDSCAPE

A nod to Margate House’s location, just a stone's throw from the marbled blue and white sky and sandy beach, we brought our favourite table lamp to brighten the bedside table: Palefire’s statuesque Pavilion in the new cool summer blue, aptly named Pool. We framed the bedscape with our favourite atmospheric summer photography print, Sicily, from Jon Gorrigan. For luxury hotel levels of comfort, we made the bed with Sukun’s frill-edged dusty pink bedding set in buttery soft cotton. To finish, we styled the bed with Ambar’s new collection of worsted wool checked cushions in burnt peach and cherry compote, along with their bed-to-beach lambswool keepsake blanket.

THE BATHROOM

We picked the most fitting seaside print from Lucy Mahon’s collection, finished with a shell pink Late Afternoon frame, to adorn the walls of Room 9’s bathroom. Then, a Bias Edition glass in swirling candy floss pink as an eye-catching temporary home for your toothbrush. Next up, Compton Marbling’s marbled strawberry and apricot sorbet trays for keeping your jewellery safe while you shower. Never far from our suitcase, a love letter to seaside memories gone by, BAINA’s chequerboard Tabac & Noir collection of towels and bath mat adds a cool and laid-back luxe feeling. Last but not least, ‘Her name is cherry’ from L&Clay’s vivid summer ceramic edit for serving a mid-afternoon banana split in the shower.

THE DRESSING AREA

A wall filled with graphic retro film posters reimagined by Projekt 26 pairs with Six Dots Design’s whimsical wobbled alumminum candelabra and L&Clay’s Burn Baby Burn ceramic tray. The colours of Dar Leone’s Hibiscus Seafoam Linen Cushion tie the warm, sun-soaked hues of the room together beautifully. Topping our to-read list this summer, "Kate" by Mario Sorrenti takes centre stage on the chest of drawers.
