‘I love vintage pennants (flags often commemorating places, sporting teams or special events). I keep my eye out for them at markets, wondering the history behind them, and stick them up around my studio or frame them for home. To me, they’re a slice of joy, pride or fandom in something. A moment in time that meant something. I’ve started to hand-draw my own collection of them based on diary notes over the years, and here are the first ones!’
