These small woven planters with tiny black beads are handwoven and hand beaded by Ariaal women from Ngurunit in Northern Kenya. Ariaal people belong to two tribes: the Samburu and the Rendille, and these woven planters marry together the traditional weaving techniques of the Rendille and the Samburu beadwork seen in tribal headdresses.
