Istogrammi I Print

£270.00

Superstudio was an architectural practice founded by Adolfo Natalini, Cristiano Toraldo di Francia, Gian Piero Frassinelli, Alessandro Poli and Alessandro and Roberto Magris, in Florence in 1966, and formed part of the radical architecture and design movement of the 1960s.

Istogrammi di Architettura, or the Architecture Histograms is a series of thirty 3D diagrams created between 1969 and 2000 with a uniform and isotropic surface, intended for use in the design of objects, furniture, environments and architecture.

This drawing shows a 3D diagram of cruciform tower, ‘Torre a Crocera’.

“an endless grid, in which everyone can live (and die) without being physically or spiritually consumed, a total rethink of the typologies of classicism.” (Superstudio).
