Checkerboard Berber Rug, Cocoa

Our shaggy Berber checked rug is crafted by a community of Moroccan women weavers that Arbala works closely with to promote and support traditional craft traditions. The rug is spun with soft wool yarns, using a special weave technique. The entire production process, from spinning the wool to creating the patterns on handmade looms, is organic and sustainable. Each piece is unique. 

Traditionally in Morocco, Berber rugs are reversible. The shaggy side is used to keep warm during winter and is turned over to the reverse side in summer months.
