By Otter creates contemporary hand-painted candles playfully decorated with citrus fruits, vivid flowers, and abstract line drawings, adding artful flair to your dinner table. After following Laura Jackson’s #makeamealofit challenge throughout lockdown, fashion editor Otter Hatchett was inspired to channel her creative energy into her home and designed a vibrant table scape for a Mexican-themed meal she was planning. After sharing images of her candles on social media, she was overwhelmed with enquiries from family, friends, and followers alike, and so By Otter was born. Each candle is meticulously hand-painted by Otter at her home in Peckham, London.
