"Sundown Runners" is an original acrylic painting on canvas hand stretched by David.

This whimsical piece depicts a cowgirl travelling on horseback at great speed barely holding onto her hat! Still wearing her long-jonhs, she was clearly in a hurry!

David likes to tell stories in his work which he expresses through a fast paced style that is emotive, raw and colourful all suffused with a healthy dose of humour.

David builds multiple layers of colour and texture in an unplanned spontaneous manner that he develops into rich figurative scenes sometimes working from imagination and memory and sometimes inspired by found images or people he knows.
