Hot Water Bottle Safety Information

Do not use boiling water and avoid using hot water from the tap, this can cause the rubber to perish resulting in splits or leaks and will shorten the life of your hot water bottle.

Use water from the kettle that has been allowed to cool down. Hold the bottle by the neck and fill slowly to avoid splashing. Only fill the bottle up two thirds, overfilling can cause the bottle to burst.

When tightening the stopper, do not over tighten this can cause the seal to crack, finger tight should be adequate.

Never sit or lie on top of your hot water bottle to avoid pressure causeing the bottle to burst.

Do not heat in a microwave.

If you need to wash your lambswool cover, do so by hand or on a cool delicate machine wash setting at 30 degrees.
