About Compton Marbling
Compton Marbling makes beautiful and timeless hand-marbled papers and products. Each sheet of marbled paper is made individually, by hand, using traditional methods, in their studio on the border of Wiltshire and Dorset. Compton Marbling began in the early 1970s, in the garden shed of founder, Solveig Stone. The business is now run by Solveig’s daughter Clementine Stone and Alex Lewis, who produces all of the marbling now. Once the paper is ready, it is sent to book binders, box makers and lampshade makers all in the UK who transform the paper into stunning products.
