Looking through a National Geographic Ruby saw a beautiful old film photograph of a boy, somewhere in Turkey, asleep on a hillside with one of the flock’s lambs. Moved by its sweetness, Ruby set out to paint it on canvas, adding in her quintessential pop of colour and matisse-style patterned motifs.
