Palm Fruit Flag

Often depicted on flags is palm fruit kernels and palm trees as the majority of Asafo group members were not only fishermen but also farmers.

The palm kernel fruit is considered to be one of the most important tropical fruits on the African continent and it is believed to cure certain diseases and improve health.
