About Alfred Bramsen

Alfred Bramsen and OHAYO make beautiful koi-fish koinobori (carp streamers), individually printed and painted by hand. Based in London, Alfred is a talented Danish designer, drawing inspiration from objects collected on his travels in Japan. Copenhagen-based OHAYO collect and curate Japanese antiques, ceramics, vintage textiles and other curiosities. The pair have collaborated on two limited edition collections, crafted by one of Japan’s most established manufacturers, in paper made from a mix of plants including hibiscus flowers and mulberry bushes.
