Zennie Thomas is a painter based in London who works mainly on acrylic on canvas and paper.

Her work explores womanhood through emotion and memory often set in a dream-scape, theatrical landscape: Exploring mainly female relationships and emotion, her paintings feature themes of the ethereal and melancholy.

She takes inspiration from her love of films, The Red Shoes is her favourite for visual inspiration. Artists such as Paula Rego have inspired her practice. Her work often feature both cats and flowers, two of her favourite things.

Her mother work aims to explore emotion and expression through figure and composition, whilst having a playful dreamlike escapism. Her work invites the viewer to take their own interpretation of what they are viewing.
